First Solo Flight of Students Tiphanie Anne Cruz Draper, Elijah Miguel Poblete Del Rosario, Khalid Yuseff Ammad Clemen and Nico Rivaca Caminade

, a female presolo student, 21 year old lass from down south, Cotabato City, Student Pilot Tiphanie Anne Cruz Draper achieved her 1st Solo Flight courtesy of the first female Senior FIight Instructor, Capt Leigh Bocita from Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. The petite and charming member of Batch India 2018 and a Bachelor of Arts in Production Design graduate of De La Salle College of Saint Benilde soloed on or about 0910H flying RP-C8249. Being a female 1st Soloist for the day and released for the first time by a Senior female FIight Instructor made it more meaningful in view of the observance of Women’s Month this March. After SP Tiphanie Draper’s soloing, three (3) very lucky members of Batch Kilo 2018 made it in succession one after the other. The 2nd Soloist for the day was a 23 year old UP Diliman Tourism graduate from Old Balara, Quezon City, SP Elijah Miguel Poblete Del Rosario who was released on or about 0945H by another newly upgraded Senior FI, Capt Robert “Bob” Durano in just 11.4 flying hours on board RP-C7669. Barely two (2) hours later, a batchmate, SP Khalid Yuseff Ammad Clemen, a 21 year old graduate of Bachelor of Arts, Major in International Studies was released once again by a newly upgraded Senior FI, Capt Gelo Tolentino on or about 1135H in just 10 FH flying the very dependable RP-C6923. Last, but not the least among the 4 soloists today, again, from Batch Kilo 2018, is SP Nico Rivaca Caminade, a 22 year old Mandaluyong City resident and a Business Management graduate of De La Salle University who was released on or about 1142H by no less than the Operations Officer, Capt Philmer Powao in just 11.4 FH on board RP-C7530. With these outstanding feats, the foursome will automatically become bonafide members to the elite club of the young and daring eaglets cleared for safe takeoff with the primary mission of exploring and conquering the infinite vastness of the horizon and clear blue skies of San Fernando Airport, La Union, the home base sanctuary and Eagles’ Nest of Leading Edge.
Once again congratulations Tiphanie, Elijah, Khalid and Nico for reaching the unlimited skies and hurdling the most critical level in your early flying careers, the unforgettable 1st Solo Flight with flying colors. Congratulations as well to all the proud and very supportive parents, well-done! Have a Happy & Safe Flight always! Cheers and God bless!
