First Solo Flight of Student Jonathan Vincent Topico Flores

As projected, the remaining flightless eaglet of Batch Kilo 2018 of four (4) members followed suit this very clear weather Wednesday morning. Thus, on or about 0840H, March 13, 2019, the last distinguished member of the December 2018 batch, the tall and dashing 27 year old Student Pilot Jonathan Vincent Topico Flores, who’s a Pasig City resident and a graduate at the University of Asia and the Pacific, BS Entrepreneurial Management made it in the elite short list of 1st Soloists for the day with flying colors. Flying Cessna 172M RP-C8249 with Rwy 190° in-use, SP Flores performed exceptionally well, executing safe and smooth landings during touch and go maneuvers which were the primary factors that prompted his assigned checker, the newly upgraded female Senior FIight Instructor Capt Leigh Bocita to release him for 1st Solo Flight in just 10 flying hours, considered highly commendable indeed! Henceforth, with this significant feat, the young and daring flightless eaglet is now duly authorized to safely takeoff, explore and conquer the unlimited airspace of the horizon as well as the clear blue skies of San Fernando Airport, La Union, the home sanctuary and Eagles’ Nest of Leading Edge.
Once again, congratulations SP Nathan Vincent Flores for attaining the most sought-after goal in a career in aviation, the unforgettable “1st Solo Flight!” Likewise, kudos as well to the ever supportive and proud parents, well done! Happy flying & have a SAFE Flight always! Cheers and God bless!
