It’s Ash Wednesday today, March 6, 2019 and Leading Edge is obviously feeling the heat due to the onset of the summer season. Apparently, after more than a week of lull in soloing, the lucky 1st soloist for the day and for the month of March is a member of the 11 strong Batch India 2018, Student Pilot Mac Arco Junio Gloria, a dashing 29 year old BS Electronics and Communications graduate of MIT, Mapua Institute of Technology. Incidentally, this clear weather morning on or about 0915H, flying RP C7843, SP Mac Gloria was released for 1st Solo Flight in just 14.05 flying hours by a newly upgraded Senior Flight Instructor, Capt Vey Sastrodemedjo, a cool and well-liked Fil-Indonesian national. Hence, with this initial achievement, the brand new 1st Soloist from Bacoor, Cavite is now officially included in the increasing certified list of the young and daring flightless eaglets out to explore and conquer the infinite vastness of the horizon as well as the clear blue skies of San Fernando Airport, La Union, the home base sanctuary and Eagles’ Nest of LEIAAI’s Corps of very young Flying Eaglets!
Once again, the Leading Edge family is proud to welcome and extend our congratulations to Student Pilot Mac Gloria for attaining the highlight of his early pilot’s career, the most significant event and unforgettable“1st Solo Flight”. Kudos as well to the proud and very supportive parents, well-done! Just bear in mind, that this is just the beginning of a very long and winding flight plan to your quest for a successful career in aviation! Happy Flying and have a Safe Flight always! Cheers & God bless!
