First Solo Flight of Student Pilot John Lance Henry Rigos Dela Cruz

Today, a Monday, on or about 0915H, February 18, 2019, on a very clear weather day, a very special event for one among the 11 strong members of Batch India 2018 took place at LEIAAI’s training hub. Flying RP-C7843, 22 year old Student Pilot John Lance Henry Rigos Dela Cruz successfully attained his golden wings by making his 1st Solo Flight courtesy of Capt RJ Tejada in just 14.2 flying hours. Apparently, our 1st Soloist for the day who’s a Parañaque City constituent, is a Wellness and Sports Management graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, a course not related to aviation which is one solid proof that flying is not the sole monopoly of graduates of Aeronautical Engineering courses. By and large, flying is a skill coupled with the basic fundamentals all written in the training syllabus and checklist which must be internalized by every young and daring aviators of LEIAAI to succeed in one of the most glamorous and very rewarding profession.
Once again, congratulations SP Lance Dela Cruz, today’s toast of Leading Edge for hurdling the most critical obstacle of your early flying career, the unforgettable 1st Solo Flight. Likewise, credit for your achievement is the love and untiring support of your proud parents. Have a Happy and Safe Flight always! Cheers and God bless!✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
