There is no way of stopping the momentum of releasing our flight school’s young and daring flightless eaglets for 1st solo flights at the training hub, the Eagles’ Nest in San Fernando Airport, La Union! The prevailing very good weather condition obviously remains conducive for flight training as a result of the crystal clear blue skies setting! Once again, almost on a daily basis this week, soloing is a regular activity as two (2) lucky members of the 12 strong Batch Juliet 2018 successfully soloed in succession. First to be released this morning, flying RP-C7530, on or about 1010H Feb 16, 2019, is Student Pilot Avel Aballe Casidsid, 34 year old graduate of UP Diliman, BS Computer Science and resident of Mandaluyong City courtesy of Capt Philmer Powao. More than an hour later, on or about 1140H, Avel’s young batch-mate, SP Jed Ronmar Sola Lirio, a 20 year old Marikina City resident and an IT graduate of the University of Asia and the Pacific was released by Capt Ronald Nario on board RP-C7653. Incidentally, both 1st soloists for the day is now counted among the growing list of future commercial airline pilots who have chartered their flight plan towards the most glamorous and rewarding career in the Aviation Industry. Apparently, the duo accomplished their 1st solo flights commendably in just 13.8 and 14.6 flying hours respectively , making a good landing with extreme caution, safely maneuvering their assigned aircraft and landing smoothly, proving their self-confidence and maturity.
Once again, congratulations to the two (2) brand new 1st Soloists this Saturday, Student Pilots Avel Casidsid and Jed Lirio for attaining the highlight and dream of every young aviator, the most coveted & unforgettable 1st Solo Flight and effectively making it in the elite short list of certified flying eagles of Leading Edge. Kudos as well to tandem’s proud and very supportive parents! As a food for thought for both; “Always remember, that this is just the tip of the iceberg of your continuous flying lessons, air works, climb and climbing turn maneuvers, numerous power on/off stalls, navigation flights, Instrument flying as well as touch and gos. Knowledge, skills, guts coupled with the more essential basic elements of discipline, hard work, patience and dedication will propel you to greater heights in your quest for a very bright future in the aviation industry!
