First Solo Flight of Student Pilot Miguel Luis Lacson Anis and Jeymour Ramiscal Buhayo

Wednesday in Metro Manila is somewhat overcast and rain showers was experienced later in the afternoon and in contrast, the training hub at San Fernando Airport, La Union was as usual, crystal clear blue skies, a very safe condition for flight training. Thus, this morning two (2) young and daring flightless eaglets of Leading Edge took advantage of this good flying weather by achieving the highlight of their early flying careers, the unforgettable 1st Solo Flight. Both solo achievers for today, September 26, 2018 are members of the 24 strong Batch Foxtrot 2018. First to be released for 1st Solo Flight is a 23 year old resident of Philam Homes, Quezon City and a graduate of BS Marketing of De La Salle University, Student Miguel Luis Lacson Anis, who made it on or about 0950H flying RP-C7653 courtesy of Capt Ronald Nario. More than an hour later, on or about 1100H, a 29 year old Villamor Air Base resident and product of Colegio De San Juan De Letran, BS Business Management graduate, SP Jeymour Ramiscal Buhayo made it flying RP-C8249 courtesy of Capt Vladimir Evangelista. The latter is by the way, the son of retired Col Wilfredo Buhayo PAF and a very fortunate beneficiary of the scholarship program for Pilot Training offered to qualified military dependents by the ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative. Moreover, Jey is also a step son of a proud mom, Mrs Sharon Buhayo, former Vice President for Admin of Leading Edge.
Once again, congratulations to the two (2) brand new 1st Soloists for today, Migs & Jey for successfully making it in the elite short list of future commercial airline pilots in the making. Same accolades likewise to both the proud and very supportive parents for raising very promising young and daring aviators. Happy flying & have a Safe flight always! Good luck & God bless! Cheers!
