First Solo Flight of Student Pilot Ibrahim Eugene Ammad Clemen and Lorenzo Basil Zapanta

After the recent onslaught of Typhoon Rosita at SFLU and the long weekend holidays as well as the completion of the PPL flying phase of the 24 strong Batch Foxtrot 2018, the newly arrived members of Batch Golf 2018 are now ready to take over the starring role of their Big Brothers. Thus, this morning, November 6, 2018, on a very clear weather condition, two (2) members of this latest batch of flightless eaglets one after the other attained the most significant event in their early flying careers, the unforgettable “1st Solo Flight”! Flying RP-C7669, on or about 0930H, 26 year old Student Pilot Ibrahim Eugene Ammad Clemen, a resident of Tanza, Cavite and a product of Asia Pacific College, successfully made his 1st Solo Flight courtesy of Capt RJ Tejada. Almost two (2) hours later, on or about 1110H, a 26 year old Asian College of Science Technology graduate, SP Lorenzo Basil Zapanta of Quezon City, likewise made his 1st Solo Flight flying the same aircraft and with the same checker. Hence, with the sterling feat of a lifetime in Pilot Training, effective immediately, the two (2) young and daring 1st Soloists of the “Lucky 11” Batch Golf 2018 are now duly authorized to safely takeoff and explore the infinite vastness of the horizon with the mission of conquering the clear blue skies of San Fernando Airport, La Union, the Home Sanctuary of LEIAAI’s Eagles’ Nest.
Once again, congratulations to both Eugene and Enzo for the once in a lifetime accomplishment of making it in the elite short list of Solo Achievers for the month of November 2018. Kudos as well goes to the proud and very supportive parents for a job well done! Happy Flying & have a SAFE Flight always! Cheers & God bless!
