Once again, Leading Edge with the blessing from high heavens of crystal clear blue skies, sustained its Flight Training Program as envisioned in producing quality trained future commercial airline pilots to the optimum. Thus, this Wednesday morning, November 7, 2018, three lucky (3) members of Batch Golf 2018 made it in the elite short list of 1st Soloists this month. Initially, a very young and dashing 21 year old Student Pilot Adrian Joseph Tinoy Borja of Bacoor, Cavite and a product of PATTS College of Aeronautics successfully achieved the highlight of his early flying career, the “1st Solo Flight” on or about 1040H, flying RP-C8249 courtesy of the Head of Pilot Training himself, the very well liked and energetic Capt Vlad Evangelista. Almost an hour later, on or about 1130H, a cute 28 year old SP Emiko Jeanne De la Cruz Gener, resident of Quezon City and once again a graduate of PATTS soloed flying the same aircraft and with the same flight examiner. Last, but not the least, is the charming 22 year old lass from Tagbilaran, Bohol and graduate of De la Salle University, Manila, SP Charlinn Maeruff Bantugnan Sanchez, who on or about 1340H was released by the same Checker on board the same aircraft and who like her batch mates, made it within the standard flying time before solo. Hence, officially, these three (3) young and daring flightless eaglets are now certified members of the cream of the crop of aviators of the flight school authorized to safely takeoff, explore and conquer the infinite vastness of the horizon as well as the clear blue skies of San Fernando Airport, La Union, the Eagles’ Nest and home sanctuary of the LEIAAI Flyboys ang Flygirls! Furthermore, aside from this commendable feat of the trio, it is also a very special day, since for the first three (3) consecutive flying days this month, the school have logged a total of 307.08 flying hours, a very worthy record indeed. Apparently, as long as the weather will continue to be fair in the coming days, LEIAAI’s aggressive stance in accelerating the Pilot Training timeline for our growing number of student pilots will remain optimistically robust .
Once more, congratulations to the three (3) 1st Soloists for the day; Borj, Emiko and Charlie for the once in a lifetime feat, the unforgettable “1st Solo Flight”! Same accolades likewise to all the loving proud and very supportive parents for raising very promising and talented offsprings. Happy flying & have a Safe Flight always! Cheers & God bless!✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈
