This coming April 22, 2019 or exactly one (1) week from now will be the opening of the 4th ground schooling for Private Pilot License (PPL) Course this year as well as the Instrument Rating (IR) Course. Currently, a total of 48 new student pilots have finished the Ground schooling and are now actively flying in our two (2) training hubs in La Union and Vigan. Likewise, a significant number are also flying and are now on the process of finishing the different levels of their flight training program (CPL, IR, FIC and Build-up time). Meanwhile, before the Holy Week break, a very young and daring, small but terrible female eaglet of Batch 2019-01, it’s 13th member to have soloed, Student Pilot Jill Valeña Bonavente, 20 years old, BS HRM graduate of Asian School of Hospitality Arts is the latest 1st Soloist this month. Apparently, the cute and petite SP Jill Bonavente who’s a resident of Taytay, Rizal successfully attained the most significant event of a pilot’s career this unusually cloudy Monday morning on or about 0940H, April 15, 2019 on board RP-C8054 within the standard flying time before solo courtesy of Senior FI, Capt Elcid Tolentino. Incidentally, the SP Jill Bonavente is the dotting daughter of Capt Eduardo C. Bonavente, a member of the Aviation Cadet PAF Flying School Class ‘85A as well as a seasoned combat helicopter pilot of the Philippine Air Force and currently flying in the oil rigs of El Nido, Palawan which undoubtedly connotes flying runs in the blood of the 1st Soloist for the day. Thus, effective immediately, the brand new 1st Soloist may now plot a clear flight plan that would jumpstart the very lucrative future in her dream of a lifetime career in flying. In doing so, hard work, discipline, patience, right attitude coupled with sheer guts are prerequisites to achieve a personal goal of becoming a blue-blooded certified aviator.
Congratulations to the brand new 1st Soloist for the day, SP Jill Bonavente for officially making it to the elite short list of bonafide young aviators authorized for safe takeoff to explore and conquer the infinite vastness of the horizon and clear blue skies of SFLU and Vigan. Kudos as well to the proud and very supportive parents, well done! Happy flying and have a Safe Flight always! Cheers & God bless!
