First Solo Flight of Student Anthony Ganzon Mendoza

Once again, another young and daring member of the 16 strong Batch 19-01 successfully made it in the elite short list of 1st Soloists for the month of April 2019. With the peak of the hot summer season and the Holy Week past approaching, soloing of pre-solo students have become a routine activity at LEIAAI’s training hub at SFLU. Thus, this Saturday morning on or about 0920H, April 13, 2019, a tall and dashing behemoth, 24 year old Student Pilot Anthony Ganzon Mendoza from nearby Taguig City and a product of De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, BS Information Technology, achieved the highlight of his early flying career within the standard time before solo courtesy of Capt Moises Gelo Tolentino on board one of the latest aircraft acquisition, RP-C9459. Nicknamed Anton, the 12th member of Batch 19-01 to have soloed, may now plot a flight plan that would trigger his quest to reach his dream of a lifetime, becoming a fledging true-blooded aviator. In doing so, the brand new 1st Soloist should start practicing by heart the basic virtues of hard work, discipline, courtesy, patience and due diligence as expected of airline pilots in the industry.
Congratulations and good luck SP Anton Mendoza for the sterling feat of attaining the most coveted achievement of a lifetime, the unforgettable “1st Solo Flight”! Kudos likewise to the proud and very supportive parents, well-done! Happy Flying, Safe Skies & God bless!
