First Solo Flight of Student Isaiah Joseph Jaramilla Briones

Early this bright sunny morning today, on or about 0930H, March 15, 2018, flying RP-C8056, 20 year old Student Pilot Isaiah Joseph Jaramilla Briones, a member of Batch Alpha 2018 who reported early this month, achieved the highlight of his early flying career, “First Solo” courtesy of the very capable Flight Safety Officer, Senior Fl, Capt Rets Moon Briones. Today’s soloing is one very special event, where for the 1st time in LEIAAI’s 10th year of existence, the Student as well as the Checker, though not related, are both ironically surnamed “BRIONES”, a historical record indeed. Incidentally, the brand new 1st Soloist who hails from Antipolo, Rizal is a BS Air Transportation graduate of PATTS College of Aeronautics. Moreover, effective today, subject student will now be a bonafide member in the elite group of the Leading Edge’s young and daring eaglets cleared to takeoff, explore and conquer the vast horizon as well as the clear blue skies of Poro Point, San Fernando Airport, La Union.
