First Solo Flight of SP Carangan

As expected, another one of the newly reported eaglet at our flight school successfully accomplished his first solo flight with a bang! This morning, on a fairly good weather condition on July 27, 2016, Student Pilot Erik Carangan, a member of the latest batch of flightless eaglets for 1st Semester, commendably achieved his “First Solo Flight” in just 11.9 Flying Hours.

The very capable Senior Flight Instructor Capt. Philmer Powao was at the helm of the checkride, when S.P. Carangan displayed exceptional performance, the principal reason why releasing for 1st Solo wasn’t considered a difficulty by the assigned Senior FI.

Incidentally, S.P. Carangan attained this feat by virtue of his enthusiasm, sheer interest and guts to make his dream come true in style. Thus, the brand new 1st Soloist may now be included in the short list of the young and daring eaglets ready to explore the vastness of the horizon as well as the clear blue skies of San Fernando Airport, La Union, the home sanctuary of the Eagles’ Nest of Leading Edge.

Congratulations SP Erik Carangan for achieving the highlight and most unforgettable feat of a career in aviation, “1st Solo Flight”! And of course, congrats likewise to the very proud and supportive father, Capt Eley Carangan of Viet Air.
