Remarkable, Record-Breaking Achievement

After a very successful conduct of the school’s Pilot Training in the 1st Semester 2018 with a remarkable, record-breaking achievement in terms of additional trainer aircraft in our fleet from 10 to 18, upsurge in the number of student pilots and flight instructors which practically doubled and correspondingly translated into the highest flying time compared to the same periods in the last ten (10) years. The momentum continued in the first 2 weeks this July 2018. However, on the 2nd week, the SFLU Air Traffic Controllers who were caught flatfooted, recalled all airborne aircraft effective 1130H, Thursday July 12, 2018. In haste, they suspended flight training due to the conduct of the RP-US Military Exercise Balikatan 2018 that extended up to the whole day of Friday, an unfortunate event beyond our control. Be that as it may, LEIAAI, during the impasse, continuously worked hard to enhance its safety program and upgrade it’s maintenance capability with the successful testing of the recently fabricated Engine Test Cell of a newly overhauled engine from RP-C7855. Likewise, all of the school’s LPU’s (Life Preserving Unit) used by our Flight Instructors and students were properly repacked and reconditioned to it’s original safety standards, where six (6) from a total of forty seven (47) in our possession, were declared unsafe and beyond economical repair. In pursuit of attaining a unique distinction in the aviation training industry, the Leading Edge International Aviation Academy Inc. continuously kept its fast pace with the demands of changing times and technology while constantly ensuring the safety and security of its assets that include its manpower and material resources. It is our primary goal to aspire with much fervor and enthusiasm to live up to the latest development and high expectations. Recently, our flight school have boldly envisioned an ambitious move with the recent incorporation in the Syllabus of Instruction in its Training Manual, 5 hours IR on a Redbird G1000 Simulator and another 5 hours IR actual flying in our Cessna 172S Glass Cockpit to fully prepare and properly hone our student pilots for airline operations. Likewise, in consonance with LEIAAI’s rapid growth and expansion program, we have ordered additional six (6) Cessna 172M trainer aircraft in the 2nd Semester 2018. With the latest acquisition, a total fleet of twenty four (24) aircraft will definitely fill up the vacuum as a result of the current upsurge of student pilots. Towards a the better flight training program, we also keep ourselves adept with an enhanced learning habits in the overall transformation of our student pilots into a well-prepared commercial airline pilots. Our present corps of flight instructors, 29 strong are now professionally equipped and capable to transfer the required experience, knowledge and skills our student pilots direly need. Obviously, Flight Safety is our primordial concern and considered paramount in all our flight training operations. Apparently, it is our resolve that at no instance, LEIAAI must never sacrifice Flight SAFETY and STANDARDS in achieving the programmed goals and objectives.
To all LEIAAI Flying Eagles: Happy Flying and have a Safe Flight always! Cheers and God bless!
