Today’s 1st period of the scheduled flight training at our hub was slightly delayed due to rain showers and cloudy skies at all quadrants in the SFLU Aerodrome. However, LEIAAI considers this condition as a blessing from the high heavens that on or about 0850H, the rains miraculously stopped and the clouds started to dissipate. Thus, with the weather already cleared and flyable, 16 Cessna 172’s in our training fleet started to safely takeoff in succession to perform various air works and maneuvers. Likewise, 2 pre solo students from the 22 strong Batch Charlie 2018 made it in the elite short list of the young and daring flightless eaglets by soloing this morning. First to be released for solo on or about 1000H flying RP-C6923 is 30 year old Student Pilot Chuck Evan Fernandez Concepcion, a cum laude graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, BS Aeronautics courtesy of Capt JC Asuncion in just 8.5 flying hours, considered an outstanding feat. Twenty five (25) minutes later, on or about 1025H, flying RP-C7530, 24 year old UST graduate, SP Russel Marion Trovela Romero from Quezon City was finally released for solo by Capt Philmer Powao.
Congratulations once again to the tandem batchmates, Student Pilots Chuck Concepcion and Russel Romero who are now officially authorized for takeoff to safely explore & conquer the vastness of the horizon and clear blue skies of SFLU, the home sanctuary of the LEIAAI Flying Eagles. Have a Happy and Safe Flight always! Cheers & God bless! ✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈
