A decade of record breaking achievement highlights Leading Edge’s celebration of its 10th Year Founding Anniversary this December 4, 2017. From a mere low of 2 Cessna 172M trainer aircraft 10 years ago, today‘s fleet have significantly increased to 14 trainer aircraft plus another 4 recently acquired from Columbus, Ohio, USA come the 1st quarter of 2018 to make it 18 total all in all. Likewise, from an original of 6 student pilots, the school have produced 247 graduates and counting. But what matters most in the school’s 10 year of existence, is not the increase in the number of training fleet and student pilots, but the growing elite list of LEIAAI graduates who are now safely secured and gainfully employed as Commercial Pilots in the Airline Industry specifically, Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air and Air Asia. These young and daring aviators are the cream of the crop and the sterling pride of Leading Edge. Moreover, among these select group, a good number are now certified Pilot-in-Command or Captains in their respective air carriers namely; Capt Christian Liwanag, Capt John Jude Ang, Capt Nathaniel Natividad, Capt Sammy Heart Tubale, Capt John Richter Tuazon, Capt Randy Cubillo, Capt Joseph Cardiel, Capt Patrick Moore, Capt Ruben Angelo Valero, Capt Kyle Michael Vincent Matias, and Capt Jowen Felip Guzman. While Capt Hans Christian Ben of National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) and Capt Ryan Dionela of World Aviation Corp. have established a name in the field of General Aviation. Furthermore, a vast majority of our alumni have successfully followed suit in their aviation career by slowly but surely taking an active role as First Officers (FO) and Second Officers (SO) in the airlines before attaining their primary goal of getting upgraded to Captains.
