It’s a Double Barelled Soloing this Saturday, Feb 2, 2019 as two (2) young and daring flightless eaglets made it one after the other. First to hurdle the initial test in flying is a 23 year old San Beda graduate and a resident of Las Piñas City, Student Pilot Rolando Neri Icasas III who was released for solo on or about 0910H by Capt Philmer Powao on board RP-C7669. Twenty (20) minutes later, on or about 0930H, 21 year old SP Jonathan Miguel Delos Santos from Antipolo City and once again a product of PATTS College of Aeronautics made it flying RP-C7653 courtesy of Capt Ronald Nario. Incidentally, both soloists for the day come from different batches, SP Icasas III is a member of Batch India 2018, while, SP Delos Santos is the 1st Soloist of Batch Juliet 2018. Apparently, the growing list of presolo students who reported in the last quarter of 2018 are slowly but surely making it in the elite short list of the young breed of aviators who’s primary objective is to be certified Commercial Airline Pilots.
Once again, congratulations Roland and Jonathan for successfully making it as 1st Soloists this Saturday! The same accolades as well to the proud and very supportive parents. Have a happy and Safe Flight always. Cheers & God bless!✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
