First Solo Flight of Student Pilot Jose Cañedo Donato

As expected, another one of the growing number of young eaglets at our flight school successfully accomplished his first solo flight with a bang! This Thursday morning on a fairly good weather condition on or about 0930H, December 20, 2018, 23 year old Student Pilot Sebastian Jose Cañedo Donato, the 14th member of the 19 strong Batch Hotel 2018, commendably achieved his“1st Solo Flight” ironically in just 14 flying hours on board RP-C7843. The very dependable Senior Fl, Capt Elcid Tolentino was at the helm of the check-ride, when the subject student pilot displayed exceptional performance, the principal reason why releasing for 1st Solo wasn’t considered a difficulty. Apparently, the brand new 1st Soloist for today is another one of the increasing products of De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, BS Tourism graduate, attained this exemplary feat by virtue of his inherent skills, sheer passion and guts to make his dream come true in style. Likewise, SP Donato may now be officially included in the elite short list of newbies or rookie flyboys already cleared for safe takeoff to explore the infinite vastness of the horizon as well as the clear blue skies of SFLU, the Eagles’ Nest Home Sanctuary of LEIAAI’s young and daring flightless eaglets.
