First Solo Flight of Student Pilot Jose Angelo Lagutan Cabanus

On a TGIF (Thank God it’s Friday) and bright sunny weather day, another young and daring flightless eaglet bravely unfurled and extended his clipped wingspan to soar the clear blue skies and achieved the most significant event of his early flying career by earning his 1st Solo Flight today May 25, 2018. On board RP-C8056, the burly hulk, 23 year old Student Pilot Jose Angelo Lagutan Cabanus fondly called Moi, successfully made it in the elite short list of 1st Soloists for the month of May 2018 on or about 0925H courtesy of the Safety Officer, Senior FI, Capt Rets Moon Briones. Incidentally, the brand new 1st Soloist for today who resides in Las Pinas, is a Business Administration, Export Management graduate of De La Salle College of Saint Benilde which is a clear proof that flying is not a monopoly of only aeronautical engineering and other aviation related courses. At present, there are more graduates whose courses are not aviation related, but still succeeded and prospered as certified commercial airline pilots in the industry. As long as one has the passion, aptitude and skills as well as possessing the virtues of discipline, hardwork and perseverance, the chance for a very bright future is a sure ball in one’s dream to be a blue blooded aviator.
Once again, congratulations to SP Moi Cabanus as well as to the very proud and supportive parents in his sterling feat of lifetime, the unforgettable 1st Solo Flight! Happy flying and have a Safe Flight always! Cheers & God bless!
