Congratulations to the 1st Soloist for the day, Student Pilot Jacques Vince Barlamento Valenzuela, a 21 year old native of Lilo-an, Cebu and the lucky 7th member of the 19 strong Batch Hotel 2018 who successfully attained the highlight of his early flying career this Friday a TGIF. Subject student pilot who’s a product of the Philippine State College of Aeronautics, Mactan Air Base, Cebu, BS AMT was confidently released for 1st solo flight by Capt Philmer Powao this morning on or about 0915H, December 7, 2018 on board RP-C7530 in just 10.7 flying hours, a very commendable feat indeed. Welcome to the elite club of the few, young and daring eaglets cleared for takeoff to explore and conquer the infinite vastness of the horizon and clear blue skies of San Fernando Airport, La Union, home sanctuary of LEIAAI’s breed of rookie aviators. Hence, effective immediately, our brand new 1st Soloist for the day may now focus and work very hard in his dream of a lifetime and quest for a very bright future in the Airline industry where most of Leading Edge’s graduates are now flying with pride and honor!
