First Solo Flight of Student Pilot Hannah Lee Sison Dimaano, Jan Francis Bello Requiron and Marc Benjam Delfin Solayco

This Monday, November 12, 2018 the last three (3) members of the ten (10) strong Batch Golf 2018 successfully accomplished the most significant level of their early flying careers, the very critical 1st Solo Flights in succession. Despite the heavy air traffic congestion as a result of a fleet of transient trainer aircraft coming from other prominent flight schools penetrating the aerodrome in unusual numbers, release for solo flights were the order of the day for LEIAAI. First to solo on or about 1000H was the burly heavyweight 20 year old Student Pilot Marc Benjam Delfin Solayco, resident of Quezon City and a product of Enderum College who was released by Capt Ronald Nario flying RP-C7653. Meanwhile, twenty (20) minutes later on or about 1020H, the last rose among the thorns, the cute, 22 year old SP Hannah Lee Sison Dimaano from Lipa City, Batangas and a product of University of Santo Tomas was released by Capt Philmer Powao, flying RP-C7530. Last, but not the least of today’s 1st Soloists is another dashing eaglet, 20 year old SP Jan Francis Bello Requiron from Las Pinas City and a graduate of PATTS College of Aeronautics who was released on or about 1130H by Capt Elcid Tolentino on board RP-C1300. Incidentally, all three soloists for today are the 8th, 9th and 10th student pilots who joined their seven (7) batchmates who soloed earlier last week. Apparently, all of the last 3 brand new 1st Soloist for the day impressed all the assigned checkers as far as their skills, knowledge and performance are concerned, making it within the standard flight time before solo!
When it rains, it pours! Obviously, after the completion of all the members of Batch Golf 2018, the Soloing Season is back to its normal phase with the arrival of the initial group of the eighteen (18) strong Batch Hotel 2018 and again, Flight Safety will assume it’s vital role in the overall flight training operations. As a matter of policy, the school will never sacrifice safety and standards in pursuing the desired goals and objectives. Apparently, release for solo flights will only be officially implemented when safety and standards have been achieved by pre-solo students which were religiously complied so far by all of the first soloists this CY’ 2018.
Once again, congratulations to the lucky triumvirate of Batch Golf 2018; Benjam, Hannah and Francis for successfully reaching the stars and the highlight of your early flying careers, making it as 1st soloists together with your batchmates this month with flying colors! Kudos as well to the proud and ever supportive parents of the trio 1st Soloists! Happy flying & have a Safe flight always. Cheers & God bless!
