First Solo Flight of SP Aldrich Nazarene C. Asprec, SP Noel Philipp R. Canlas, SP Toni Zoemima M. Nolasco, SP Jarred Curt D. Ortega and SP Prince Jay Martin

Five (5) LEIAAI eaglets successfully achieved their 1st solo flights one after the other today, March 11, 2020, under the sunny day in the City of San Fernando, La Union. The first soloist was SP Aldrich Nazarene C. Asprec from Pasig City. He graduated from De La Salle University-Manila with an AB degree in Development Studies. SP Asprec is 22 years old and was released for his first solo using RP-C7945 o/a 0830H by senior flight instructor, Capt. Edgie Louis D. Montemayor. Half an hour later, SP Noel Philipp R. Canlas also achieved his first solo flight using RP-C7530 after being released by Capt. Marcel Angelo C. Balabbo, Senior Flight Instructor, & Asst. Safety Officer of LEIAAI. SP Canlas is a resident of Mandaluyong City and a graduate of BS Marketing Management from De La Salle University-Manila. Both SP Asprec and SP Canlas were from PPL Batch 01-2020.

The succeeding soloist is from PPL Batch 11-2019, SP Toni Zoemima M. Nolasco. She was released using the aircraft RP-C7102 o/a 0930H by Senior Flight Instructor, Capt. Elcid C. Tolentino. She is a resident of Baguio City. SP Nolasco is a 24-year-old alumna of De La Salle University-Manila with a BS degree in Legal Management. After 1 hour and 2 minutes, SP Jarred Curt D. Ortega was also released by Capt. Montemayor using RP-C7945. SP Ortega hails from Quezon City and an alumnus of the University of Santo Tomas with a BS degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management.

The last soloist of the day was SP Prince Jay Martin who graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a BS degree in BS Applied Mathematics Major in Actuarial Science. The 24-year-old resident of Caloocan City was released for his first solo also by Capt. Balabbo o/a 1040H using RP-C7530. SP Ortega and SP Martin were a member of PPL Batch 01-2020.
