First Solo Flight of Student SP Johann Kevin P. Param and Marvin Grant O. Gliocam

Last October 14, 2019 was a memorable day for our five (5) LEIAAI eaglets as they successfully achieved their 1st solo flights one after the other. The first soloist was SP Johann Kevin P. Param from Taguig City. He graduated from San Beda University with a BS degree in Information and Communications Technology. SP Param is 28 years old and was released for his first solo using RP-C7843 o/a 0910H by senior flight instructor, Capt Robert Durano. An hour after, SP Marvin Grant O. Gliocam also achieved his first solo flight using RP-C7945 after being released by Capt. Antonino B. Salvosa, Vice President for Operations and a Senior Flight Instructor. SP Gliocam is a resident of San Juan, Manila and a graduate of BS degree in Avionics Technology from Philippine State College of Aeronautics.

Succeeding his fellow batch mates, SP Kevin Gerard G. Acorda was released for his first solo using the aircraft RP-C7843 o/a 1130H by also Capt. Durano. He is a resident of Lipa City. SP Acorda is 25-year-old alumnus of De La Salle Lipa with a BS degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. After 15 minutes, John Paul D. Sia was also released by LEIAAI’s Chief Flight Instructor and Senior Flight Instructor, Capt. Philmer Powao using RP-C7530. SP Sia is a resident of Pasig City and an alumnus of Informatics College with a BS degree in Information Technology. SP Param, SP Gliocam, SP Acorda and SP Sia were all from PPL Batch 07-2019.
The last soloist of the day was SP Harvey James V. Andres who graduated from De La Salle University-Dasma with a BS degree in Industrial Engineering. The 25-year-old resident of Sucat, Muntinlupa was released for his first solo also by Capt. Powao o/a 1415H using RP-C7530. He is a member of PPL Batch 06-2019.

The Leading Edge family would like to extend its heartfelt congratulations to our five (5) 1st soloists of the day for attaining the most significant event in their early flying career!
