First Solo Flight of Student Pilot Joanna Concha Roldan

So far, the month of April 2018 was generally a good weather flying month for Leading Edge obviously due to the onset of the summer season. As such, there was a dramatic increase in flight training operations in terms of total flying time for the month compared to the same period of the previous months mainly due to various factors such as holidays, Holy Week, power interruptions, upsurge in the number of students, aircraft OR rate, etc…
Apparently, the lucky 1st soloist for today is a member of the 24 strong Batch Alpha 2018, female Student Pilot Joanna Concha Roldan, a charming 28 year old Manila resident and a product of PUP, Taguig, BS Accounting. Incidentally, subject student is an ACDI Multi Purpose Cooperative employee which qualified her to be the first ACDI female scholar for Pilot Training. With her personal intensive desire to fulfill her dream to become a certified pilot, she aggressively with passion pursued the special offer of ACDI MPC for a scholarship program and deservingly accomplished it with flying colors. Thus, this morning on or about 0940H, April 18, 2018, flying RP C7857, SP Roldan was released for 1st Solo Flight by no less than the Head of Pilot Training, Senior Fl, Col Arnel Borres. Hence, with her initial achievement, the brand new 1st soloist for the day is now officially included in the increasing certified list of the young and daring flightless eaglets out to explore and conquer the vastness of the horizon as well as the clear blue skies of San Fernando Airport, La Union, the home base sanctuary of the Eagles’ Nest of the Leading Edge corps of Aviation Professionals!
Once again, the Leading Edge family is proud to welcome and extend our congratulations to Student Pilot Joanna Roldan for attaining the highlight of a pilot’s career, the most significant event, the unforgettable“1st Solo Flight”. Just bear in mind, that it is just the beginning of a long and winding flight plan to your quest for a successful career in aviation! Happy flying and have a Safe Flight always! Cheers & God bless!
