First Solo Flight of Student Pilot Jerome Paul Lagura Lucero

Today, August 1, 2018 is the first flying day for the month and once again, Leading Edge is truly lucky and blessed with the onset of a conducive and flyable weather condition at the SFLU Aerodrome. Thus, setting the tone for the day’s flight training operations is the individual success of one of the members of Batch Delta 2018, who performed outstandingly well in his solo check ride. Flying RP-C7843, on or about 0910H is a very young and daring flightless eaglet, 19 year old Student Pilot Jerome Paul Lagura Lucero who was released for 1st Solo Flight by a newly upgraded Senior Flight Instructor, Capt RJ Tejada in just 13.8 flying hours before solo, a commendable feat indeed! The brand new 1st Soloist for the day is a recent graduate of Avionics Technology from PATTS College of Aeronautics and is now among the increasing number of LEIAAI students coming from the country’s last frontier in the town of Narra, Southern Palawan. Incidentally, the school have hired the services of two (2) very good flight instructors from Palawan, Capt Leigh Bocita and Capt Yancy Caabay Pascua. Hence, our young 1st Soloist for the month of August, SP Jerome “Pi” Lucero is in good hands with the close monitoring and supervision of 2 abled Cuyonons from Palawan.
Once again, congratulations SP “Pi” Lucero for attaining the most significant event in your early flying career, the unforgettable 1st Solo Flight. Likewise, same compliments goes to Capt RJ Tejada for releasing Pi for solo flight, his very first initial role as a newly upgraded Senior FIight Instructor. Of course, kudos also to the proud and very supportive parents for raising a very talented son, well-done! Have a Happy and SAFE Flight always! Cheers & God bless!
