First Solo Flight of SP Hwang and Donald “Don” Ante Go

1 2

There is no way of stopping the momentum of releasing our flight school’s young and daring flightless eaglets for 1st solo flights at the training haven of Leading Edge’s Eagles’ Nest in San Fernando Airport, La Union! Fortunately, due to the prevailing summer season, a favorable weather condition nationwide, our Area of Responsibility (AOR) remains conducive for flight training as a result of the unlimited horizon as well as crystal clear blue skies setting! Once again this morning, on or about 0920H and 1020H, May 11, 2017, two (2) lucky members of Batch “B” & “C” 2017, Student Pilots Donald “Don” Ante Go, from Lipa City and Eungyu “Henry” Hwang, from South Korea successfully achieved their respective 1st Solo Flight courtesy of the Head of Pilot Training himself, the very indefatigable Senior Pilot, Capt Arnel Borres! Similar to this week’s previous soloing in tandem, aside from having foreign family names, both soloed on the same day, having the same FI as well as the same trainer aircraft tail nr. RP C1300.
Congratulations SP Donald Go and SP Henry Hwang for attaining the highlight and dream of every pilot, the most coveted & unforgettable “1st Solo Flight” and effectively making it in the elite list of certified flyboys of Leading Edge. Always remember, that this is just the beginning of your continuous air works, climb and climbing turn maneuvers, numerous power on/off stalls, navigation flights as well as touch and gos. Knowledge, skills, guts coupled with the more essential basic elements of discipline, hard work and dedication will propel you to greater heights in your quest for a bright future in the aviation industry! Happy flying and have a Safe Flight always! God bless and Cheers!
