First Solo Flight of SP Romero

In the morning of 16 June 2016, Student Pilot Ralph Kristoffer Carin Romero, after only 10.4 Flying Hours, successfully achieved the highlight of his early flying career, ‘1st Solo Flight” courtesy of Capt. Lance Concepcion, one of the Senior Flight Instructors and Flight Safety Officer.

S.P. Romero closely trailed yesterday’s 1st Soloist, his batchmate, S.P. Valentin Macasaet VII.

It’s good that despite the onset of the rainy season more than 3 weeks ago, weather is cooperating with our projection, as it only rains during night time and not during daytime.

The next batch of PPL student pilots or the other “Lucky 7” this year will report anytime soon, while another 7 students for the FIC course who reported on June 13, are about to complete their Ground Academics and proceed to continue their Computer Based Training (CBT) and Simulator Training at our Manila facility and thereafter prepare well with their actual flying phase.

Similarly, on June 20, 2016, a projected batch of 7 as well as 10 student pilots for PPL and CPL-IR, respectively, will formally open their ground academics, CBT and Simulator training.

Likewise, at least half a dozen new Flight Instructors are preparing to assume roles as Junior Flight Instructors replacing the latest exodus of our high-timer Flight Instructors to the airline industry.

Furthermore, the 23 strong graduates of our AMT Batch 1 have all successfully passed the written and oral examinations required by CAAP and have now started getting their respective licenses for them to be qualified to satisfy the enormous demand for aircraft maintenance technicians in the local and international market.
