August 9, 2018 was the day when the Aerodrome at San Fernando Airport was declared out during the first two (2) periods for the day’s scheduled flight training as all quadrants were closed due to heavy cloud formation as well as slight drizzle. Apparently, lo and behold, at around noontime, the control tower declared the lifting of the VFR suspension with the dissipation of the clouds and clearing of the skies with visibility within tolerable limits. Thus, flight training resumed to it’s normal operation and fortunately for those who are due for check rides by the designated CAAP Flight Examiner, Capt Rolando “Kid” Relova, PAF Flying School Class ’83 and a dashing active member of the FAB Brats. Subsequently, all of the six (6) strong LEIAAI student pilots who came in well-prepared, successfully passed their respective check rides with flying colors. The day before, Student Pilots Angelo Moi Cabanus, Rocky Dionela and GP Bautista passed their PPL checks while, the following day, Student Pilots Ralph Lester Camba, Marcelino Ballabo III and the only rose among the thorns, the charming Livi Villacorta passed the CPL checks in the nick of time before the last period and closing once again of the aerodrome due to a slight downpour. Henceforth, the six (6) newly checked-out CPL and PPL students may now seriously plan and prepare for the next level of their early flying career and continue working hard in fulfilling their most cherished dream of a lifetime to be certified Commercial Airline Pilots very soon!
Congratulations Livi, Ralph, Marcel, Moi, GP and Rocky for successfully passing your respective CPL and PPL checkrides with flying colors. The same compliments likewise, to the very patient and ever supportive CAAP Flight Examiner, the well-liked Capt Kid Relova. Happy flying and have a Safe Flight always! Cheers & God bless!✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈
