It’s almost two (2) weeks that flight training have been caught by the law of averages as far as the rainy season is concerned brought about by the onslaught and fury of Habagat induced with the presence of Typhoons outside our AOR and compounded by Low Pressure Area (LPA) mostly affecting Northern Luzon. However, this annual weather phenomenon will not deter the school’s intensified effort to sustain training activities where the latest ground schooling for PPL, CPL-IR were alternately and simultaneously conducted at our Extension Office at Bayani Road, AFPOVAI, Fort Boni, Taguig City last July and August 2018 attended by close to 100 student pilots. Likewise, an average of 50 student pilots are now awaiting clear weather at our training hub at San Fernando Airport, La Union and a significant number are taking the CAAP exams and following up their scheduled checkrides. Moreover, the regular safety meetings were actively conducted and participated by all Flight Instructors, student pilots and maintenance personnel on hand. Furthermore, networking with the AFP units from the 580th Aircraft Control and Warning Wing (ACWW), PAF headed by BGen Ting Malinit AFP and the Naval Air Group (NAG), PN headed by Commodore Noel De Vera AFP were established to further improve and enhance cooperation initiatives. Relatedly, LEIAAI would have to live up to being one of Philippine Air Force Affiliated Reserve Units (PAFARU) after recently been officially designated as 120th Air Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group in Northern Luzon by the PAF and the AFP. Lastly, a very simple blessing of the facility of the four (4) year old Aircraft Maintenance Technican (AMT) school was officiated by Capt Elvin Carupo PAFCS, the Wing Chaplain of the 580th ACWW late this afternoon.
As usual, during the regular Safety Meeting, it was reiterated that SAFETY will and shall never be sacrificed in pursuit of the programmed goals and objectives of LEIAAI. Emphasis that “SAFETY is paramount and a 24 Hour Duty of everyone” will always be the school’s slogan all year round. To LEIAAI’s Flying Eagles; Happy flying and have a SAFE Flight always! Cheers & God bless!✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈
