Additional increase in the number of training fleet, 18 Cessna 172s

The 1st Quarter of Calendar Year 2018 was indeed a success episode as far as modest accomplishment of our projection in our flight training operations is concerned. Incidentally, there was an apparent significant increase in the number of new student pilot enrollees as compared to the same period of last year as well as additional increase in the number of training fleet, 18 Cessna 172s all in all which translated to the corresponding upsurge in our aggregate total flying time. Despite the tedious processing of the four (4) newly procured aircraft at CAAP, the airworthiness inspection was finally conducted last week. As such, the required COA (Certificate of Airworthiness), COR (Certificate of Registration) and amendment of LEIAAI’s ATOC (Approved Training Organization Certificate) will subsequently put the 4 aircraft to flying status. Likewise, the historical record of the 24 strong Batch Alpha 2018, the biggest batch who reported early January this year, are about to complete their PPL flying phase this month. Moreover, the 20 strong members of February Batch “Bravo” 2018 who recently completed their ground schooling are on deck to proceed to our training hub at Poro Pt., SFLU by next week. Furthermore, a batch of 21 CPL students are about to finish their ground schooling and CBT next week, while the batch of another 21 IR students who finished their ground schooling 2 weeks ago will also complete Sim training anytime soon. In addition, a significant number of student pilots averaging 30 to 40 SPs are now actively flying daily at our training hub, including CAAP PPL, CPL and IR check rides. Thus, these latest updates will surely keep LEIAAI on its toes as far as sustained flight training operation is concerned. While all these developments are positive signs, primary objectives of Flight Safety as well as the highest degree of Standardization will remain our main focus and thrust in providing the established quality training program for our student pilots. Ironically, Leading Edge finds 7 as a lucky number wherein sometime last January 2018, on a LEIAAI Web Page post, a photo copy wherein 7,777 people were reached for a short period of time, hopefully, a very optimistic indication for the school’s already glimmering future.
