First Solo Flight of Student Pilot Mon Sebastian Tibayan Vilela

A very young and daring flightless eaglet of Batch Alpha 2018, Student Pilot Mon Sebastian Tibayan Vilela, 21 years old, Financial Management graduate of St. Louis University and a native of Baguio City is the 1st Soloist for the day after the long Holy Week holiday lull. SP Monsi Vilela successfully attained the most significant event of a pilot’s career this morning on or about 0930H, April 11, 2018 flying Cessna 172M, RP-C8056 in just 14.5 flying hours courtesy of the Safety Officer, Senior FI, Capt Rets Moon Briones. Incidentally, the 1st Soloist for the day is the son of Col Jeffrey Vilela, a seasoned Presidential pilot of the Philippine Air Force, which undoubtedly connotes that flying runs in the blood. Thus, effective immediately, the brand new 1st Soloist may now plot a clear flight plan that would jumpstart his very lucrative future in his dream of a lifetime career in flying. In doing so, hard work, discipline, right attitude coupled with sheer guts are prerequisites to achieve a personal goal of becoming a blue-blooded certified aviator.

Congratulations to the 1st Soloist for the day, SP Monsi Vilela for officially making it to the elite list of bonafide flyboys of LEIAAI authorized for takeoff to explore and conquer the infinite vastness of the horizon and clear blue skies of SFLU. Kudos as well to the very proud and supportive parents, Jeffrey & Gemma. Happy flying and have a Safe Flight always! Cheers & God bless!
