Once again this unusually bright blue but cloudy morning, on or about 0830H, September 19, 2017, the rate of 1st solo flights continue for one of the 19 strong members of PPL Batch Foxtrot 2017 with Student Pilot Andrew Adnan Casio Fortuna making it to the elite list of 1st Soloists of the school courtesy of Senior FI Philmer Powao. On board Cessna 172M RP-C7293, the 26 year old brand new 1st soloist amazed his assigned checker during the conduct of a series of touch and go’s, making safe and smooth touchdowns during landing which undoubtedly made his lucky day and be released without hesitation. Apparently, SP Andrew Fortuna who’s from Sucat, Paranaque and is currently one among the increasing list of the young and daring proud flyboys from De La Salle College of Saint Benilde where a significant number of it’s graduates have already been absorbed by the airlines as well as the general aviation industry.
