We have a brand new 1st Soloist for the month of April 2017 in the person of a 21 year old, petite female student pilot who came all the way from Hinundayan, Southern Leyte, SP Jamiah Bermoy Cazon, a member of Batch Alpha 2017. Using RP C6923, the new 1st soloist was released by the Safety Officer, Senior FI, Capt Nathan Castrence on or about 1200H, April 3, 2017 after three (3) good touch and go’s before the wind condition turned gusty and changed wind direction from runway 190° to 010° in use. Hence, SP Jamiah Cazon will now be officially included in the elite list of the young and daring eaglets out to explore and conquer the wide horizon and clear blue skies of San Fernando Airport, La Union, the home sanctuary of the Eagle’s Nest of Leading Edge.
Congratulations to the new 1st Soloist for the day, SP Jamiah Cazon for achieving the highlight of a pilot’s career, the unforgettable 1st Solo Flight, as well as to the energetic men and women of Leading Edge for their hard word and teamwork in attaining the historical record breaking accomplishment by recording the highest flying time in a month last March 2017. Happy flying and have a Safe Flight always! Cheers and God bless!
