Once again, Leading Edge sustained its Flight Training Program as envisioned in producing quality trained future commercial airline pilots to the maximum. Just this morning, September 6, 2018, another two (2) members of the 19 strong Batch Echo 2018, Student Pilots Jeejaz Orbeta Levida 30 years old and 22 year old Rolland Aleksei Macatalad Salazar, successfully achieved the highlight of their early flying careers, the “1st Solo Flight” courtesy of Senior Flight Instructors, Capt RJ Tejada and Capt Vladimir Evangelista who released the tandem on or about 0920H & 0930H respectively, flying RP-C7843 and RP-C8249 within the standard flying time before solo. By the way, SP Jeejaz Levine who was born in Legaspi City and resides in Mandaluyong City is a BS Industrial Engineering graduate of De La Salle University, Manila, while, SP Sei Salazar is a native of Lemery, Batangas and a BS Tourism graduate of Lyceum of the Philippines. Hence, officially, these two (2) young and daring flightless eaglets are now certified members of the elite aviators of the flight school authorized to takeoff, explore and conquer the infinite vastness of the horizon as well as the clear blue skies of San Fernando Airport, La Union, the Eagles’ Nest and home sanctuary of the LEIAAI Flyboys! Moreover, aside from this memorable feat for both 1st soloists for the day, it is also a very special day, since this is the 11th consecutive day that the weather seemed to be fair and cooperating with the school’s aggressive stance in accelerating the flight training timetable for our student pilots despite Habagat which brings about the unpredictable weather condition nationwide.
Once more, congratulations to the toast of the town, the two (2) lucky 1st soloists for the day SP Jeejaz Levina and SP Sei Salazar for the once in a lifetime memorable feat, the unforgettable “1st Solo Flight”!
