Another description of today’s flight training operations is the sustained conduct of the critical phase in flying, the release for 1st solo of newly reported flightless eaglets of Batch Golf 2017. Moreover, this Saturday morning, 28 October 2017, it can be told that it is a record breaking day in the 10 year history of LEIAAI as far as the monthly flying time is concerned, as it had already logged a total number of 1,337.10 Flying Hours and the month of October is not yet over. Thus, if everything will proceed as programmed come Monday, this momentum in flight training will be remembered for quite sometime for a job well-done for Team LEIAAI as a well-oiled machine in pursuit of excellence in its Pilot Training Program. Apparently, today’s 1st soloists are three (3) lucky members of Batch Golf 2017 to conclude this week’s flight training. From the lucky trio, it was 23 year old Student Pilot Albert Soriano Tecson, from Hinaplanon, Iligan City and a Marketing Management graduate of University of Santo Tomas, Manila who first soloed on or about 0900H flying RP-C6932 courtesy of Capt Philmer Powao. Again, after 1 hour 30 minutes later, on or about 1030H, with the same aircraft tail number and the same Flight Instructor, 21 year old SP Aldrin Lewis Plecerda Sibayan, from Baseview Homes, Banaybanay, Lipa City and an Electronics Engineering graduate of De La Salle University Lipa, made it as the 2nd 1st Soloist for the day. Last but not the list from the same batch, is a heavyweight, 22 year old SP Alton Karol Lamadrid Herico, from Quezon City and a graduate of Ateneo De Manila University who successfully soloed on or about 1200H, this time flying RP-C6923 courtesy of Capt JC Asuncion.
