Last October 14, 2019 was a memorable day for our five (5) LEIAAI eaglets as they successfully achieved their 1st solo flights one after the other.
Leading Edge International Aviation Academy Inc. (LEIAAI) conducted a graduation ceremony for the forty student pilots who successfully completed the requirements for the Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating course during the 1st semester of 2019. Out of the 40 graduating students, a total of 28 were able to attend the actual ceremony held on July 27, 2019 at the multipurpose hall of ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative in Taguig City.
A very young and daring flightless eaglet of the February batch, Student Pilot Wilbur Airon Kerby Jacob Artiaga, 21 years old, BS Marketing graduate of Far Eastern University, Diliman and a resident of P. Tuazon, Cubao is the 1st Soloist for the day after the long holiday lull. So far, the month of April 2019 was generally a very good weather flying month for Leading Edge obviously due to the onset of the summer season. As such, today, April 16, 2019, a Tuesday is the last flying day for the week in view of the long Holy Week official holiday break starting tomorrow, Holy Wednesday. Apparently, it is also today that the first member of the 13 strong Batch 2019-02, Student Pilot Ranni Bien Abelarde Bernales, a good looking stratospheric 20 year old Las Piñas City resident and a product of Mapua University, BS Psychology graduate made it as the 1st Soloist this morning.
This coming April 22, 2019 or exactly one (1) week from now will be the opening of the 4th ground schooling for Private Pilot License (PPL) Course this year as well as the Instrument Rating (IR) Course. Currently, a total of 48 new student pilots have finished the Ground schooling and are now actively flying in our two (2) training hubs in La Union and Vigan. Likewise, a significant number are also flying and are now on the process of finishing the different levels of their flight training program (CPL, IR, FIC and Build-up time). Meanwhile, before the Holy Week break, a very young and daring, small but terrible female eaglet of Batch 2019-01, it’s 13th member to have soloed, Student Pilot Jill Valeña Bonavente, 20 years old, BS HRM graduate of Asian School of Hospitality Arts is the latest 1st Soloist this month.
