For 2 consecutive days, the soloing season was the order of the day, as a result of yesterday’s double barreled feat by 2 members of Batch Golf 2017 which was a repeat performance by 2 more members of the young and daring eaglets! It seemed that this brand new batch of student pilots is quite a revelation, as the exceptional display of inherent skills on flight proficiency have become their common trait. Today, 26 October 2017, on or about 0915H, 20 year old Lipa City, Baseview Homes’ resident, Student Pilot Greggy Boy Taiño Paduganan, flying RP-C6923, successfully made his 1st Solo Flight in just 9.2 flying hours courtesy of Senior FI, Capt Philmer Powao. Obviously, flying runs in the blood of this San Beda College Entrepreneurial graduate, since the subject 1st soloist is the youngest son of BGen Gregorio”Padre” Paduganan AFP (Ret) who was once upon a time a seasoned instructor pilot of the PAF Flying School in the early 80’s. Apparently, performance wise, it is a clear case of “Improvement of the Race” when referring to a famous Air Force lingo. Another sterling performance, was the release for 1st Solo Flight of a batchmate, 29 year old SP Arvin Camilo Bernabe Reguyal, from San Jose, Mindoro Occidental and a product of both De La Salle Lipa and Lyceum Manila, BS Hotel and Restaurant Management and Administration. Flying RP-C2211 on or about 1130H in just 10.3 flying hours before solo, Arvin achieved the most significant event in his early flying career courtesy of Senior FI Capt Vladimir Evangelista. Incidentally, based on the early signs of outstanding display of inherent flying skills, this should not be taken seriously as an insurance of making it to the elite list of a success story in a career in the aviation industry. In order for them to be absorbed in the very stiff competition, as early as now, they should practice by heart, virtues such as discipline, hard work, sacrifice, integrity, courtesy and professionalism, all essential prerequisites to achieve this very vital flight plan to a very bright future.
Congratulations to both the First Soloists for the day and to the very supportive and proud parents! Have a Happy and Safe Flight always! Cheers & God bless !✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
