Recently, we were saddened by the unfortunate aircraft accident of a Cessna 172, G1000 of a prominent aviation school north of Manila which resulted to the major damage of the aircraft but fortunately saved the Student Pilot which miraculously incurred neither scratch nor injury. This heartbreaking event will significantly affect the spirits of those actively involved in the Aviation School Industry. However, despite this upsetting occurrence, life moves on, as this misfortune should be considered not as an end but only the beginning, a bitter pill for us in the flying school business to maintain aircraft control, perform better and fly safer to the great blue heavens!
That’s why at Leading Edge, after hearing the sad news, business as usual is the prevailing atmosphere in the Eagles’ Nest of San Fernando Airport, La Union where just recently three (3) flightless eaglets, Student Pilots Denni Agregado, Jade Doctolero and Ivan Mondragon achieved the most coveted events of their flying career, “FIRST SOLO”, on dates 22, 23 and 24 September 2016 respectively. The triumvirate were released by Senior Flight Instructors, Capt Nathan Castrence (1x) and Capt Lance Concepcion (2x) and are now considered among the rare breed of the young and daring eaglets willing to develop their frail feathers into full-grown wings and finally conquer the vast horizon as well as the clear blue skies of Poro Point, SFLU!
Congratulations to the 3 lucky young and daring eaglets. Happy Flying and have a Safe Flight always! God bless & cheers!!!
